It's been reported that on January 31, representatives from the Department of Offense Against Women and Children at the Supreme Prosecutor's Office in Seoul indicted Hara's ex-boyfriend Choi for crimes of assault, threatening, and more.
Choi's case will now be forwarded for court trial. On the other hand, Hara's investigation involving accusations of a two-sided altercation has been deferred.
The prosecution took into consideration that while Hara also inflicted scratch marks on Choi's face, Choi was guilty of instigating the violence by kicking Hara, verbally abusing her, and afterward, threatening to spread footage of their sexual relations on the internet. The prosecution chose to drop charges against Choi for sexual harassment involving the illegal spread of the victim's footage without consent, as Choi only threatened to release the content to 'Dispatch' and did not distribute the files.
Meanwhile, Hara recently returned to promotions in Japan as a solo artist.t
