Group Nu’est W finished 2 weeks of short and coarse ‘WAKE, N’ activities. Along with the album activity, they have also finalized their unit activities.
The album released on the 26th is the unit group’s last album as member Minhyun is scheduled to resume activities with the group after Wanna One conclude group activities at the end of 2018.
The group received a lot of attention with their appearance on Season 2 of Mnet’s ‘Produce 101’. Their albums, chart recordings starting with ‘W, HERE’, ‘WHO, YOU’, WAKE, N’ all received first place after their appearance in the survival program. This shows that Nu’est has built a stable fandom to regain first place.
Through the unit activities, each member also gained popularity. Leader JR played an active role in various entertainment programs and strengthened his position as an entertainer. Baekho was recognized as a composer and producer as he participated in the composition of all the songs in their album ‘W.HERE.’ Ren built up his skills as a singer and broke the prejudice of being a ‘visual’ member without skills.
Aron, the only member from Nu’est who did not participate in Season 2 of ‘Produce 101’ overcame his relatively low awareness and increased his fandom purely with his own merits.
Nu’est W succeeded in building a solid and strong core fandom through their unit activities. Even though the unit activities are over, they have shown that fans can look forward to a full-fledged Nu’est journey that will start again in 2019.
In the meantime, Nu’est W will hold a solo concert ‘DOUBLE YOU: FINAL IN SEOUL’ on December 15th and 16th at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Seoul. This will be the last solo concert as a unit.
