Rain Company relayed in an official statement, "The president of Rain Company and Rain's father met up with the creditor family, in order to confirm the truth behind the online fraud accusation surrounding Rain's late mother. However, there was no bond of debt form, no written guarantee about the borrowed debt, and no financial log of the events in question, as the family claimed that the log was at home; we were unable to confirm any documentation regarding the fraud accusations. Even so, the creditor family attacked Rain's family with verbal insults and asked for an amount of100 million KRW (~ 88,7000 USD) in settlement fees. As a result, we concluded that without confirming any document evidence of the accusation, the accusation itself is unfair."

Furthermore, Rain Company stressed that once Rain and his family obtain legal documentation of his late mother's debt amount, the singer/actor plans on taking full responsibility for the amount. On the other hand, the company will not condone any further defamation of character regarding Rain and his family, due to the spread of online rumors, the creditor family's one-sided interviews with media outlets, etc.

Stay tuned for updates on Rain's mother's fraud case.

Wow, how are you gonna try to get money out of rain and not bring any documentation of the debt? They need to be more careful then that because now Rain's company is trying to turn it around on the creditors. They may very well have tried to extort him.

Not only his mother can't defend herself and refute their statement for obvious reasons, these people also have no proof and demand a huge sum out of nowhere? Yeah, seems totally legit
