On October 1, South Korea celebrated its National Armed Forces Day. The Republic of Korea Army held its 70th National Armed Forces Day celebration festival on this day, and this year also marked the first year that the event took away its annual soldiers parade.
Idol/actor Siwan and announcer Park Sun Young hosted the festival as MCs, with special taekwondo dance performances, as well as a demonstration by soldiers performing a future combat fulfillment system demonstration using hi-tech equipment, led by 2PM's Taecyeon.
Later, Taecyeon was also spotted meeting president Moon Jae In, as well as greeting Psy. Meanwhile, Siwan is set to be discharged from his mandatory service in March of next year. Similarly, Taecyeon will be discharged from his service in June of next year.
