Zico shared his experience in Pyongyang.
Back on September 18, Zico, Ailee, ALi, and magician Choi Hyun Woo traveled to Pyongyang, North Korea to perform at the '2018 Inter-Korean Summit'. The team successfully completed their show and returned to Seoul on the 20th.
In a phone interview with Yonhap News immediately following his arrival, Zico shared his incredible experience. He first talked about the amazing views of the Paektu Mountain in North Korea. He said, "It was so beautiful. It blew my mind. It was unbelievable. You will have to use the panorama mode on your camera. You can't capture it with your eyes. You have to rotate 360 degrees to catch the entire view."
At the show on the 18th, Kim Jung Sook, the first lady of South Korea, introduced Zico as the hottest person of the crew. Regarding this, Zico said, "Yes she really introduced me that way. I said, 'I'm singer Zico. Nice to meet you'."
He continued, "I was worried that hip-hop might not fit with the event since it's an unfamiliar genre (with North Koreans) but their reactions were great," and said, "Usually, I say, 'Put your hands up' in English but I said that in Korean instead and the audience put their hands up over their heads." Zico shared the event had a friendly vibe overall.
