Girls' Generation's Hyoyeon was heard defending herself from an unknown staff member.
The issue ensued on September 15 at the World Club Dome music event where Hyoyeon attended as a stage guest of Dimitri Vegas. From the event, an audiovisual footage appeared, which revealed glimpses of staff members chaotically roaming around on stage with Hyoyeon's voice in the background.
In the video, Hyoyeon could be heard saying, "Excuse me, don't touch me. Don't touch me." This statement was repeated several times, suggesting that another individual was continuously attempting to make physical contact without consent. Although the low lighting in the video prevented viewers from seeing clearly which exact individuals were involved, many concluded that one of the male staff members frequently seen in the video might be the possible offender.
The footage quickly spread among fans and netizens who are currently trying to decipher the situation in full. Furthermore, a male voice saying the following words have been heard -- "my stage my rules, and if you don't like it, you can gladly go down" -- which fans believe were spoken by the male staff in question. People are especially angry because Hyoyeon was one of the guest performers and to be harassed and disrespected in such a manner is unacceptable.
