Soya talked about Kim Jong Kook's love line with Hong Jin Young.
In an interview with 'International bnt', Soya, who's also well known as Kim Jong Kook's niece, is asked about the family's reaction to Kim Jong Kook and Hong Jin Young's love line.
Soya replied, "People around me ask if they really date but I'm not sure. Uncle is a sangnamja (manly man) style and he tends to be a stern type so I personally think a bright woman with a lot of aegyo will be good for him."

Soya also shared honest thoughts on her title of 'Kim Jong Kook's niece'. She said, "I used to have a hard time with the comments stating that I'm using my uncle but I believe that will naturally go away if I work hard and receive love from more people. The only solution will be for me to work harder."
