TWICE's Jihyo shared about her past hardships.
On July 24, Jihyo and Nayeon guested on JTBC's 'Talk To You 2'. During the show, they talked to a high schooler who dreams of becoming a singer. The student asked the idol stars how they've overcome the hard times of an unclear future.
Jihyo, who started training under JYP Entertainment at the young age of 9, answered, "I was a trainee for more than 10 years. I became concerned about when I would be making my debut and if this career really suits me or not."
Jihyo stated she survived 10 years to become a singer. She gave hope, saying, "Think about the people who are cheering you on and think about those who would be listening to your music. Don't be intimidated and go for your dreams."
