On Twitter, a netizen under the name of 'Rose' uploaded a letter regarding the recent issue of Baekhyun publicizing the phone number of a non-celebrity. Back in February 15, Baekhyun had called out an alleged sasaeng fan during his Instagram live, for constantly interrupting the phone by calling his number. The issue later backfired as the owner of the number begged EXO-Ls to stop calling him/her, claiming that s/he did not know EXO at all. As a result, Baekhyun apologized for the issue, with belief that he had caused unnecessary controversy under false evidence. 

However, on July 22, 'Rose' confessed that the caller behind the number was indeed him/herself, that his/her past claims of not knowing EXO had all been lies. 'Rose' had previously stated that s/he had been receiving complaints from him/her innocent family members due to the incident, but such denials and rebuttals came out to be cover-ups behind her own actions. 

The truth was exposed when the identity of 'Rose' was revealed via Twitter accounts, as s/he had made multiple accounts to evade netizens' accusations. After several attempts to go about ignoring the issue, the user had finally come to admit the fact that s/he him/herself had made up the entire story. S/he apologized to Baekhyun for causing trouble, and asked for forgiveness from other EXO-L fans as well.

"Hello, this is Rose. Nabom=LoveNi=Rose is correct.

After receiving the DMs saying that the person was me, I deleted the account. I apologize for the late feedback. I had previously uploaded a post saying that my family members had been contacting me for receiving so many calls after B.H. exposed the number. Then, I received many DMs asking me why I was complaining about my family getting attacked, when it was really me who called him. I lied. I am sorry. I shouldn't have said it that way, but I did, and I am sorry. I deleted my (other) account (Nabom) without a feedback. Then, I created another account LoveNi and acted as if nothing happened on Twitter. After constantly making and deleting multiple accounts, I finally made a new account under the name Rose. With this account, I yet again interacted with other Twitter friends and stayed active. I am sorry that I had always made new accounts like this instead of uploading a feedback. I am sorry to all those who were hurt because of what I said after B.H.'s Instagram live. I am also sorry about my bias-oriented comments, and for cussing out a certain member through my private account. I am sorry to all those who have gotten hurt because of me."
