Lee Byung Hun talked about the age gap between him and his co-star Kim Tae Ri.
The two actors have partnered up for new tvN drama 'Mr. Sunshine' written by hit scriptwriter Kim Eun Sook, notable for 'Goblin', 'Descendants of the Sun', and more.
The new drama gained great attention even before filming for it being Kim Eun Sook's new project, and also for the lead actors' age gap.
Lee Byung Hun (Turning 48 soon) is 20 years older than Kim Tae Ri (28). The two will be having a romance in 'Mr. Sunshine'.
At the press conference for the new drama on June 26, Lee Byung Hun commented, "Biologically we have a big age gap but I couldn't feel it at all when acting. I couldn't believe she's a rookie."
Kim Tae Ri also said, "I've worked with many great sunbaenims in all movies up til now. I was often asked if I feel pressured (working with veteran actors) but I think I'm very blessed." And added, "I was afraid that I might not be able to keep up when acting (with Lee Byung Hun). I'm trying my best. He treats me very comfortably so I didn't feel any discomfort at all."
The first episode of 'Mr. Sunshine' is scheduled to air on July 7.
