Legendary singer Cho Yong Pil to return to broadcast after 7 years with 'Immortal Song'

The legendary singer will be celebrating his 50th-anniversary this year and to commemorate his long career, he will be returning to broadcasts, after 7 years away.

The promotion committee from his side stated, "Cho Yong Pil will be appearing on 'Immortal Song' as a legend. Since the very first episode of the show back in 2011, the producers have been sending him love calls for 7 years to be on the show. This appearance was decided to show his appreciation toward his fans and the public for their continued interest and requests for him."

This will be Cho Yong Pil's first broadcast appearance since September, 2011 when he was on MBC's 'I Am a Singer'. They will be filming the special episode April 9, and will be airing the episodes on April 21, 28 and May 5, for 3 weeks!

Meanwhile, Cho Yong Pil will be kicking off his 50th-anniversary concert tour, 'Thanks To You', on May 12 at the Seoul Jamsil Olympic Stadium.
