All of 2PM, excluding Taecyeon who's completing his mandatory military service, re-signed with JYP Entertainment this past January. In an interview with Star News, Junho expressed, "We started out by saying, 'It doesn't matter who leaves. Let's keep going as 2PM.' The CEO also said, 'I'd like it if you all stayed with the company, but even if it's not with us, I'd like you to continue as 2PM.'" He also added JYPE has been listening to the 2PM members' needs and giving good feedback.
The 2PM member revealed, "When we have a complaint, we've developed enough of a brotherly relationship with the label execs that we can be honest with them. We requested that the company takes better care of 2PM and that's how a team specifically for 2PM was formed." Junho also spoke on the group members' recent appointment as directors of JYPE, commenting, "I think we revealed our ambitions during our discussions with the company. We had the thought that we'd like to become an inspiration to our hoobae artists. We also wanted to get respect as artists who've been with the agency for a long time."
Junho concluded, "I feel proud that we were the first ones to both renew and re-renew our contracts with JYP. This time, we signed without much trouble or negotiation in my opinion."
Junho is starring as the lead in the upcoming SBS drama 'Greasy Melo'.
