1. EXID Hani
Hani was an MC on Weekly Idol before and she's known as a 'Variety Queen'. She has the personality, spunk, wit, and charisma to be a successful MC, as well as the charming good looks! Hani has an experience MC-ing numerous special events and variety shows and is a natural host. 'Weekly Idol' hasn't had a regular female MC, and we think she'd be a great fit.
2. Big Bang Seungri
If Hani is the queen of MC-ing then Big Bang's Seungri is the king! His ability to MC and do variety in general is unparalleled. Seungri has been MC on numerous shows and even was the best speaker on SBS 'Strong Heart'. He has MC'd not only on Korean TV but on Japanese TV shows as well. Seungri is a fantastically charming host and would be perfect for 'Weekly Idol' given his long-standing position in the K-Pop industry.
3. Red Velvet Irene
Red Velvet's leader has a lot on her plate taking care of the mischievous ones in the group, but Irene began her MC-ing days at KBS 'Music Bank' alongside Park Bo Gum. Because the pair looked so dashing together, Irene was nominated as one of the 'Best Newcomers' at the 'KBS Entertainment Awards'. Irene is a huge fan favorite for idol people want as Weekly Idol MC.
We hear 'Special MC Dara' more often than we hear 'Dara' alone. That's how often Dara is MC-ing variety shows! From the Philippines to South Korea, she's been able to MC in multiple languages on variety shows across the globe. We think Seungri and Dara would make the cutest MC duo and would love to see them co-host 'Weekly Idol' together as veterans of the K-Pop scene.
5. TWICE Dahyun
Though TWICE is relatively newer than some of the other groups mentioned, Dahyun has proved herself a force to be reckoned with when it comes to MC skills. She has co-hosted alongside BTS' V, Black Pink's Jisoo, EXO's Chanyeol and many other huge names, and show that her cute demeanor suits her as an MC.
6. Super Junior Leeteuk
Leeteuk of Super Junior was a frequent guest alongside many of his SuJu group mates. In 2010, Leeteuk became the MC for 'MBC Enjoy Today' and replaced Seungri when he left to focus on Big Bang's album. Leeteuk is an experienced MC and has taken part in variety shows such as 'Star King', 'Hello Baby', and more. As a successor to Seungri, it's no surprise he's an excellent MC who could potentially be a good fit for 'Weekly Idol' MC.
7. GOT7 Jackson
Multilingual, handsome, and funny: Jackson Wang of GOT7 is another superb fit for 'Weekly Idol' MC. He has the experience and the quick-wit to improvise on-the-spot, making him a great candidate for the role. Jackson is hugely popular all over Asia with a huge concentration of fans in China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. His multi-cultural background gives him a great opportunity to be a good fit to MC.
