Kang Dong Won
Kang Dong Won spilled on some of his upcoming projects, including his Hollywood debut film 'Tsunami LA', in a recent interview.

The actor was cast in the upcoming Hollywood blockbuster byHannibal Classics and Foresight Unlimited, and directed by Simon West, back in December of last year. About jumping into filming soon, Kang Dong Won said, "Because of the title I thought we'd film in the United States, but it is filming in Europe. Preliminary filming is set to start soon. We begin preparations in March, and then main filming begins in April. I just said okay because I got the offer. The scenario is entertaining, and I was contacting them about another film first but that got delayed, so this was what we settled on for now. There was no reason for me to turn it down."

Kang Dong Won also revealed that he's interested in scriptwriting, and "wants to try it out before he gets older." What about any small-screen plans? The last time Kang Dong Won appeared in a drama was in 2004, with SBS's 'Magic'. He answered, "I'm not avoiding dramas entirely. But dramas go by a system where they set a broadcast schedule, then film by that. Which is why it's never followed through for me. I wasn't available for the schedule. Movies begin filming after about a year's worth of conversation and planning, but not dramas... Which is why I wasn't able to."

Sounds like Kang Dong Won will be busy in the film industry more for now.
