It was previously reported through an official statement that Go Hyun Jung and a PD were having disagreements on set, and it eventually led to the lead actress refusing to continue to film the drama. However, according to rumors on February 7, it's actually the drama staff and crew who are refusing to continue filming 'Return' with Go Hyun Jung after witnessing the lead actress assault a PD.

One insider alleged, "Recently, Go Hyun Jung assaulted PD Joo Dong Min on the set of the SBS Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Return'. There were a lot of witnesses. They were having disagreements when she hit him. Even when Go Hyun Jung and all the staff had mics in place, she started pouring curses at him... Go Hyun Jung's conflict with PD Joo Dong Min was severe. There were multiple times they had disagreements, and recently, there was a big fight. On the 5th, the 'Return' filming was halted, and there's no further schedule to film at this point. We're worried about the content for the next episode."

Though the rumors have not been confirmed or denied as of yet, SBS has revealed the network is currently discussing changing the lead actress. SBS stated, "The conflict between Go Hyun Jung and the staff member is too big. Due to the actress' insincere attitude, they won't be able to film anymore, so we're discussing a change in the lead actress," adding, "We can't confirm any details. Reconciliation is not possible for Go Hyun Jung and the staff."
