On December 22, Seohyun posted a message for the late labelmate via Instagram. The post reads as follows:
"I was there to say goodbye on oppa's final road.. but I still can't believe this is the reality.. The oppa I saw from the side for more than 10 years was always bright and passionate and was an amazing person who gives happiness and laughter to others.. I admired how you sang your heart out with all your energy on stage and I loved your humane, warm side off stage.. I just always thought you are an amazing, strong person.. I feel so stupid and regretful for only thinking that way.. Why wasn't I able to catch on to your feelings while I was a close colleague.. Why wasn't I able to be any strength to you.. You must've been struggling so much.. Just now I have realized that you've been resisting and living with an unimaginable pain.. I'm so sorry.. You really did well.. I pray that you no longer suffer in pain and rest in peace.. Jonghyun oppa who've always shined so bright, I'll remember you forever.."
