NBC Chicagomistakenly used footage of BTS' RM in thereport about the death of SHINee's Jonghyun.
The recent broadcast of NBC Chicago's '5AM Morning News' covered Jonghyun's death. However, footage of BTS on 'The Ellen Show' was played instead and the "lead singer of South Korean boy band SHINee" was mistakenly shown as BTS leader RM.
The anchor reported Jonghyun's death and even stated, "That man recently appeared on 'The Ellen Show' and the 'American Music Awards'."
Fans are outraged at NBC Chicago's mistake, commenting, "This is disgusting. Someone's life was lost and this news station didn't even properly research. This is awful", "This is disrespectful to so many", "This is just upsetting... They didn't even bother to do the research."
