Seeing this, Chinese media outlets claimed he has purchased a book about baby care due to his wife's pregnancy. However, it's been confirmed the controversial 'Baby' item is a gift Song Joong Ki received from a fan, and the reports by the Chinese media outlets are false.

Chinese netizens criticized the media outlet for spreading rumors and demanded they stop bothering the Song-Song couple. Korean netizens also joined the criticism, commenting, "I saw the picture and it's just a gift from a fan. They need to write reports after thoroughly checking..", "Chinese media outlets and their attention (on the Song-Song couple) is just too much. They need to keep that overwhelming attention for just the Chinese stars."
