On October 12, News1 exclusively reported that Lee Jin Wook is returning to the industry for the first time since the sexual assault controversy. The reports stated Lee Jin Wook is playing the lead of new SBS drama 'Return' alongside actress Go Hyun Jung.
In response, Lee Jin Wook's label, C&Co ENS, spoke up in strong denial, stating, "We haven't even received an offer from the producers. We have nothing to say about his comeback plans as his next productions are unconfirmed."

A rep from SBS also stated, "We're just in the process of discussion. Nothing has been confirmed yet."
