According to reports on September 26, KBS2's upcoming idol rebooting project 'The Unit' has determined how many contestants will survive after the first open recording, taking place on September 29, 30, and October 1.
Insiders from the industry claimed that after the three days of 'The Unit's first round auditions, a total of 126 contestants will be selected to begin dorming together, while training for the audition program. The numbers will be divided into 63 males and 63 females.
Word from insiders is that the first round auditions will involve approximately 100 male and 100 female contestants. This indicates a little less than half of the contestants will face elimination in the first round. Afterward, the remaining 126 will divide into 14 teams of 9 members, to carry out performance missions.
