Contrary to MBC's previous claims that 'Idol Star Athletics Championship' will go on regardless of the ongoing general strike, filming for the Chuseok special variety program has been postponed.
This year's 'Idol Star Athletics Championship' was scheduled to be filmed on September 4 and September 11. September 4 also marks the date that MBC employees will officially launch their mass general strike against the broadcasting station, with approximately 1,568 employees expected to step down from all of their duties.
A representative from MBC stated on September 2, "Filming for 'ISAC' scheduled for September 4 has been postponed. The postponed filming date has yet to be determined; it is under discussion."
As a result of the general strike, MBC programs like 'Infinity Challenge', 'I Live Alone', and more will stop airing after this weekend.
