On the July 12th broadcast of MBC Radio FM 4U's 'Kim Shin Young's Noon Song of Hope', DJ Kim Shin Young asked Kim Tae Woo if he ran into Lee Hyori when she came to Seoul to promote her album. Kim Tae Woo revealed, "I ran into her for a bit last Saturday at a music show."

He continued, "Lee Hyori's face went completely tired after a few days though. I asked her if she was okay, and she said, 'Aren't you tired? I feel like I'm going to die.'"

In other news, Lee Hyori completed her promotions and returned to her home on Jeju Island on July 11.

none of us will be young forever with the same stamina but lee hyori did v well with her promos

Use it or lose it. You let that energy and strength melt away it's not going to come back unless you train first.

*sigh* Allkpop & their titles tho. Ofcourse she got tired, she hasnt been in that lifestyle for 3yrs, I get extremely fatigued in school during the 1st days after summer break

i think she went on a lot of variety shows to promote it when she didnt do so, 4 years ago, and her stamina isnt as good as it was 4 years ago. people's expectation of her to be a dance singer, probably made her do a dance track instead of a ballad, and being summer, the songs tend to be energetic plus the weather is also hot. Maybe all that is taking a toll on her. its good she decided on 1 week promotions instead, can't imagine how she would feel if she had to do it one more week. she asked IU how long she promoted, IU said she did 2 weeks, so she thought if a popular singer like IU had only 2 weeks of promotion, then she shouldnt do 2 weeks and do only 1 week.

It sounds as if Hyori has made the transition from idol to artist. Idols HAVE to promote as their material is dependent on the superficial where an artist can simply stand on the merits of their work. "Black" is a brilliant album. It can and does stand on it's own. She shouldn't have to promote it as if it were just pop music. And, from the sounds of it, she's transitioned out of that lifestyle into a much healthier one and was eager to get back to it.

it just sounds she got older. Does not have the stamina of people in their 20's

Tinker31 ashablue Wednesday, July 12, 2017

More like the lifestyle to wake up at 3am to get hair and makeup done to get to music shows by 7am for practice and rehearsals for hours and then do a live show at 3pm and then go on to promote her album right after on variety shows that are filmed for 6 hours straight and repeat again on 1-2 hours of sleep since there 4-5 music shows. And that doesn't even include fansignings, radio appearances, interviews or other events.

I get what you're saying about her not having to market/promote like those idols, but she still needs to fulfill her obligations with her label. Plus, she has been on hiatus for two years, so I imagine it's not easy to get back into work mode after being away for so long. I am glad she's done with promotions, though. Hopefully, she can now get some rest.

I'd love to see you carry out what she has when you're her age, lol. I think you'd struggle even at her prime.

ashablue afterglows Wednesday, July 12, 2017

I didn't say it as a negative thing, I'm saying it as something realistic. She could probably beat me now as 23yr old, but with the crazy life of being an artist in Korea, its very taxing and draining. Why take it as negative??

ashablue Tinker31 Wednesday, July 12, 2017

Exactly, those things are harder when you get older. I'm not saying its bad, that's just how humans function.
