Here are three questions the media members asked and the answers by the members.
What is your state of mind now that you are about to perform for the first time in Japan?
As Black Pink has never performed in front of their fans, Jennie said, "This is the first opportunity for us to meet our fans in Japan like this. We haven't done this even in Korea, so being able to do this at this big venue, I'm nervous already for the rehearsal."
Jisoo said, "This is the moment I have been waiting for since before our debut, and my dream has come true. This is our first oversea debut, so I have nothing more to wish. I would like to perform with a sense of being on a mission," while Rose commented, "I had dreamed about coming to Japan before our debut as a trainee. I am honored to meet our fans and to be able to hold our showcase at this big venue. We will do our best."
Are you conscious of TWICE?
As 9-member girl group TWICE just made their Japanese debut as well, the members were asked if they're conscious about them in their mind. Jisoo said with a smile, "I think we are quite a different type of group, so we would like to show our own color. We just want to do our best."
Jennie appealed the strength of Black Pink, "We are the group that has a huge gap between on stage and off stage. When we are on the stage, we are powerful as black, just like our group name, but off the stage, we have our cute part as well just like ordinary girls. So I want our fans to enjoy the gap."
The girls were asked about their goals as they are currently studying Japanese. Jisoo stated with her sparkling eyes, "When our Japanese skill gets better, I would like to make an appearance on variety shows, and I also want to have different opportunities to meet our fans."
Jennie revealed, "We want to be artists who people wish to listen to our music! I hope they admire our fashion too and imitate us."
At the showcase, the girls performed a total of 6 songs and excited 14,000 fans.
