Seo In Guk is officially exempt from mandatory military service.

On June 14, Jellyfish Entertainment revealed the results of Seo In Guk's re-examination. It's concluded that Seo In Guk's diagnosis with Osteochondritis dissecans, a joint disorder in which cracks form in the cartilage and underlying bone, puts him in a grade 5 health rating.

Grade 5 health rating is deemed unfit for military duty, which then means Seo In Guk's health condition does not qualify for enlistment.

As a result, Seo In Guk will not have to complete his mandatory military service.

Back in March, the singer-actor enlisted in the military but was shortly sent back home during training due to an osteochondral lesion.

I hope that he will get well soon. And hopefully Netizens won't hate on him :-/

Lucky guy

teleri Mitch1 Sunday, June 18, 2017

No he's NOT a 'lucky guy' - this is a serious condition that he'll have to deal with the rest of his life.

RizalmieHisham Thursday, June 15, 2017

while most people won't criticized him, he'll be carrying a little burden being pointed as a person who are not fit to serve their country. when his peer talking about their military service experience, he will always feel being left out.

kelliecyp Thursday, June 15, 2017

oh wow, i was prepared for no more Seo In Guk productions for 2 years but yay that he's back [sucks that he has a disease]

shinyjonginnie Thursday, June 15, 2017

I hope those monster knetz don't hate on him for his health conditions. They have no fucking humanity.

Blue82 Thursday, June 15, 2017

Even with celebrities have legitimate health reasons they still get a lot of hate if they don't complete the two year service. It's ridiculous how they are treated. They are not the ones saying they don't want to serve they are being told they are not fit to serve physically. The last thing you want if war were to happen is the guy next to you not being able to run or fire their weapon because of physical limitations due to medical issues. Citizens need to understand you have to be healthy to be a soldier.

Let's hope he doesn't.

_Jarhon Thursday, June 15, 2017

I just hope he doesn't get hate for this. Koreans are fucking nuts about their service.

lovelynnnnnn _Jarhon Thursday, June 15, 2017

Even if he has a good and understandable reason. People will still throw shade at him anyway. Ruthless people.

Good or bad, they'll still say something (nasty) *shrugs*

They're just jealous

Star537 Wednesday, June 14, 2017

Oh wow. I'm dealing with the same thing, on my left knee. It sucks, and I'm awaiting surgery. I see he's only 29. I'm 32, and it sucks! He'll probably need surgery. Usually once there's an unstable fragment of bone, it's the only way to treat the issue...

Shitdowntaehyung Star537 Wednesday, June 14, 2017

what are the causes of this?

Star537 Shitdowntaehyung Thursday, June 15, 2017

My doctor said sometimes it can be due to a past injury, but the underlying cause is unknown.

Winston Wednesday, June 14, 2017

I guess for him, he tried to get to active service, by asking to be re-examined to serve as active duty. so he wasnt trying to get off army or to convert to public worker by asking for re-examination. so i think he wont get much "hate" from the netizens in that sense.

iluv1n2d Wednesday, June 14, 2017

I think for things like this Korean people wont' bash him. There was a legit health reason given, and it's not like  he didn't want to
