Zong yao Wang only made a rude comment about TOP to get HIS name in public, and then humbly apologize to make himself sound like someone the public noticed. He's rude and needs attention for his career. We don't care what his opinion is.

ygbad_boy Friday, June 9, 2017

wait, what? Does that mean that he might possibly tried to commit suicide?

laurel ygbad_boy Friday, June 9, 2017

I don't think he did, he just took too many anxiety/sleeping pills cause of stress/depression/anxiety. This happens way more often then you would think.

bribri812 Friday, June 9, 2017

TOP has always been my overall one and only bias in Kpop and I'll always be a fan. We have to understand that even though he is a big celebrity, he is a regular human being. He may seem happy and funny on shows or cool and full of swag on stage, but no one fully knows or understands what he goes through off stage. Do I approve of him smoking marijuana? not really... Do I still love him? Always. Should it affect anyone personally? No, only TOP himself

Saying he will need mental treatment from now on makes me think they are not speaking just for support because of what he did but because he may have damage due to his brain being deprived of oxygen.  I hope it is strictly to get him back sound mentally and not because he has some mental handicap now.  I also hope YG or some of the others will be at his arraignment.  TOP really needs support from those who are close to him and he needs to know that he still belongs.

i knew he would get mental health treatment if it was a suicide attempt..

intricate Thursday, June 8, 2017

i wonder what kind of mental health treatment, pretty sure it's going to involve medication.

yuki_shiro Thursday, June 8, 2017

Really good to hear... Its kind of private to mention that they'll be receiving mental health treatment.. but at least we know. One good thing that has came out of this whole ordeal is that he'll get more help now, not sure how much help he was getting beforehand. Fighting TOP believe in yourself and that you can make it through this. Your fans are still here supporting you.

2fat Thursday, June 8, 2017

This is such good news but he's still not out of the woods. He needs to be on suicide watch. He needs meds and counselling. I still don't feel good about this. Nothing about his situation has changed. He still has to go to court. Will they throw the book at him, make an example of him? What will the military do with him? If he isn't fit to serve as a policeman will he be fit to serve as a regular recruit? Can he serve in some other capacity as a civil servant? You know once he's up and completely lucid these are things that don't seem to be something he can avoid. I'm just concerned that he might be more determined than we know to end all of this mess by trying again.

Wonderscore 2fat Thursday, June 8, 2017

I'm worried too. If he was diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and insomnia, I'm not sure how being enlisted in the army is a good idea. I'm still not entirely sure how he was able to enlist the first time. Isn't there a psych evaluation? Do you have to be schizophrenic in order to be considered unfit for duty? So sad, I'm praying for him and his family.

2fat Wonderscore Thursday, June 8, 2017

They probably don't do psych evals because they don't believe in it anyway. They're the "suck it up and accept" society. One reason they are so resistant to accepting mental health as a problem is because it would destroy the social order. The reason they are able to maintain order is because they bully, shame and ostracize anyone that breaks the rules. That also extends to anyone that doesn't quite "fit in". It's the reason the bullying extends to the disabled, unwed mothers and their children, mixed race kids. There's no acceptance for people that don't comply. TOP knows this, he knows that forever he will be the druggie that got kicked out of the police. He'll never live it down. I honestly don't blame him for thinking that his life is over.

Wonderscore 2fat Thursday, June 8, 2017

It's so sad, how can people be so hateful and vengeful? I'm wondering if anything will change after this, regarding the public's perception of mental health.

periwinkledomo 2fat Thursday, June 8, 2017

they do psych evals. u still serve in the military if u fail psych evals, but in a less intense division of the military. honestly, i think theyre trying to do better on the mental health front. a lot of celebrities are now coming out into the open with mental health problems whereas a couple yrs ago, mental health issues simply werent mentioned unless it seriously affected their lives. now a lot of ppl r on tv and working who we know r still coping with mental health. its a work in progress, but top's life isnt over. he'll move past this. a lot of ppl have come off of worse scandals and done fine.

2fat periwinkledomo Thursday, June 8, 2017

Well this week was a perfect time for these "celebrities" to "come out" and all we heard were crickets chirping. Oh yeah and business as usual. Lots of singing, dancing and ignoring that TOP tried to commit suicide and Gain had a meltdown on instagram. Naw. I don't think they're trying hard enough. Only one. One of TOPs labelmates even wished him well. One guy, Seven. GD didn't tweet, Taeyang kept silent the entire Big Bang line up said SQUAT. YG fucking apologized. Apologized for his wrong doing. Naw. None of them are brave enough to stick their necks out when it matters. Maybe BTS will write another song about it one day and get another 10 million views on Youtube, but that's about it. Nobody is brave enough to take on the torch and pitchfork mob.

Talented_MrsFox 2fat Thursday, June 8, 2017

Just because the other members did not tweet or post concerns on social media does not mean they have no regard for what's happening to TOP. In my opinion, efforts made on social media are geared toward fan service anyway. Why does the public have to know that they are concerned about TOP?Most of the times, what's not shared with the public has more meaning. It's been between TOP and the members.

periwinkledomo 2fat Thursday, June 8, 2017

you're talking about two diff things. gd spoke out about top's drug scandal. yg apologized for top's drug scandal. they aren't apologizing bc of top's drug overdose, they r apologizing for the original marijuana scandal. a lot of ppl believe that the marijuana thing isnt a big deal and that's fine, but currently in korea it's still illegal and when someone u love does smthg illegal, u dont go defending them for it. gain's mental health issues wouldve been more supported if she talked about them without also bringing a friend down. jung hyun don quit show business for a while due to mental health issues and there was a ton of support for him. lee sangmin spoke out about his mental health issues and the cast of knowing brothers is actually rly considerate of him, making sure to decrease events in the show that may cause him anxiety. honestly wat top needs rite now isnt more media attention. wat he needs is for his scandal and drug overdose to be covered a little by comebacks or awards or other things so he and his family can get a little privacy.

2fat Talented_MrsFox Thursday, June 8, 2017

Sure I understand. I know why they keep their heads down and their mouths shut. I was responding to the suggestion that celebrities were starting to come out and talk about mental health. They aren't. It wasn't just TOP and Gain this week it was also that kid that was bullied out of UP10ation. He couldn't participate in their comeback because people are still accusing him of sexual harassment. So now he has a mental illness? He doesn't have a mental illness he's freaking terrified of them. And he's not the only one. Their slimy fucking companies are terrified of them. The television networks are terrified of them. Advertisers are terrified of them. It only takes a few thousand tweets to ruin someone. I'm sorry but I've been observing K entertainment for a few years and it's gotten worse. I think it's a testament to most of the people's strengths that one of them hasn't offed themselves yet. It wouldn't be unusual it's happened before. These people do not care if they drive someone to suicide. Remember entertainers don't kill themselves because they commit crimes. They aren't bribing businessmen and politicians. They aren't creating slush funds or killing their employees with shitty working conditions. They're doing mundane shit that ordinary people do, dating, getting married, getting high, getting DUIs, displaying the wrong "attitude". They're just actors, singers and dancers. Most of them from ordinary homes.

I think many of us can breathe better today knowing that he's out of harms way.  Mentally, he's going to need all the support he can get right now.  He's out of physical danger but mentally, he is still fragile.  It's going to be a long battle.

SecondLeadQueen5 Thursday, June 8, 2017

Literally just finished watching Run, Big Bang Scout. In episode 6 they all give letters to each other and all of the members said TOP was such a dependable older brother, he had the innocence of a child and lately he had so many worries. He was so touched by their kind words he cried. So when he does get himself to an okay place and he reads the blogs and checks his instagram. Let's give him positive kind words to look forward to.  Kind words can help heal a broken soul.
