HYWY Entertainment stated, " Jeon Minju has signed an exclusive contract with us and will be going on a short break after the program [K-Pop Star 6] concludes."
Jeon Minju will be preparing for the debut of the new girl group alongside 'Produce 101's Lee Soo Hyun as well as Kim Eun Bi from the first season of 'I Can Hear Your Voice.'

Jeon Minju stated, "I am happy to bring good news to many fans who have supported me on 'K-Pop Star," in regards to her joining HYWY and the new girl group.
HYWY commented, "The girl group will consist of five members. A concept has not been formulated yet."
Meanwhile, Jeon Minju previously appeared on 'K-Pop Star 2' back in 2012 and debuted in the girl group The Ark in 2015. However, the group disbanded in 2016 and she decided to try out for 'K-Pop Star' again, making it the Top 4 list for season 6.
