Crayon Pop's contract with their label has ended, but the girls will most likely be staying together.

Their contract with Chrome Entertainment ended at the end of March. ChoA and Way are currently talking to a label with expertise in musicals. ChoA has always wanted to be a musical actress and even majored in musicals. Gummi and Ellin are also looking for labels of their own, while Soyul will for the time being focus on her family with Moon Hee Jun.

While the girls may be going to different labels, they likely want to keep their team together and have Crayon Pop promotions together. However, for now, team promotions may be put on hold as each member focuses on solo promotions.

Stay tuned for updates.

I'm glad they are not giving up on Crayon Pop.I will be waiting for cpop comeback

eager_beaver Wednesday, April 19, 2017

That was a rising star that burned out quickly. So sad to see groups that kind of just fizzle out: they get some initial success, but then they get less and less promotional time and slowly just fade away. It was a long time ago they had a comeback, and now it's even less likely. They claim that they will stay together, but that's just a nice fantasy. When you're at different labels with different projects to work on, it'll be very difficult to coordinate any bigger comebacks aside from one-time low-key concerts that don't require much preparation.

Winston eager_beaver Wednesday, April 19, 2017

even low key concerts need to practise, vocals and dance, and you cant just do the same dance for the performances, often you will add things like special stages or special versions of the same song to make it special, else fans might as well just watch MVs.

THANK GOD!  CP is the most embarrassing fail of kpop ever!

hyelinnie alfonzo Wednesday, April 19, 2017

agree to disagree. CP has many bops.

apieth alfonzo Friday, April 21, 2017

My bias group, Crayon Pop's achievements are much better than yours tho

apieth Tuesday, April 18, 2017

I hate MoonHeeJun now 😭

Winston apieth Thursday, April 20, 2017

i dun think he was to blame, CP's recent sales for Do Doom chit and FM previously wasnt doing so well, and i think several people probably cant even name their last comeback song, or know when they came back.

apieth Winston Friday, April 21, 2017

DooDoomChit comeback was fine till Soyul halt all activities that makes cpop's offline performance events decreased. I thought i only need wait till soyul be healthy to join cpop again. But we have to wait longer coz MHJ forced her to marry him this year. She wanted to get married 5 years later tho 😔 And now, She needs to focus on her marriage life too

vroom vroom was good =(, good luck crayon pop

danilove3709 Tuesday, April 18, 2017

I feel like their label could have done a better job with giving them more exposure. But it is what it is. (FM was by far my favorite track, its a shame their MV didnt go viral)

hiroonakamura danilove3709 Wednesday, April 19, 2017

it's crazy how probably their worst singles release in terms of sheer music quality was the one that had the most success lol

nami_chan Tuesday, April 18, 2017

Good luck girls, I'm going to miss crayon pop a lot TT, I hope you find a company that respect their artists, avoid pledis please xD sorry not sorry

Winston Tuesday, April 18, 2017

I dun think the label will give them any more comebacks though, because their last few comebacks, Doo Doom Chit and the previous one, for FM, i dun think it did very well, not to mention one of the members is married, and if she becomes a mother in the near future, she will be too busy looking after her child to practise and rehearse for a comeback.

krell Winston Tuesday, April 18, 2017

Yes, seems logical that CHOA and WAY are headed to MUSICALS for the future ... (Joking) Of course, CRAYON POP *MIGHT* get back together again though! ...

Winston krell Tuesday, April 18, 2017

The "get back together" seems more likely when the other girls are married and have a topic to sit down and talk about, but to be honest ONLY really MEGA popular groups can have a possibility of a re-group in future, because their fandom will still be very big enough for them to ensure their next album 10 or 20 years later still sell well, even if they dun hit #1 at least its not going to be a loss. i think now that SES has successfully made a comeback with a 20th year album, (i think its a one off thing, doubt they will have another next year or 2019), only FinKL is possible to have a re-group though its hard for them, other groups like babyVox seems unlikely, as i doubt they as in the members will be interested, due to the fact their comeback album's profits, when sold and shared, isnt going to attract them, and they are probably making more than what the album will sell anyway.

(Joking) MAYBE if LADY GAGA did a *collaboration* with CRAYON POP ; then THAT would get the PISTONS DANCING again! ...

Winston krell Tuesday, April 18, 2017

lol she (Lady Gaga) was only tapping in on their "fame" back then (with bar bar bar), just as how Psy was like the "IN thing" back in the Gangnam style years. sad to say but she probably treated the group like a tissue paper, Use it when you need it, and discard after 1 use. it may be a wonderful memory for Crayon Pop, and though Lady Gaga may not even recall their group's name now, :"Crayon Who?"

krell Winston Tuesday, April 18, 2017

More honestly though, I *admire* the DETERMINATION of CRAYON POP to *succeed* as they did it. They did STREET PERFORMANCES for quite awhile ; just to keep going somehow. That PISTON DANCE song 'catching on' was a BIG DEAL for them.

Winston krell Tuesday, April 18, 2017

Well looking at what happen to their "sister group and hoobae" Bob girls, Bob Girls didnt even last a year from debut, before disbanding, so i guess their agency was really in financial trouble back then, i heard their current agency management is new, meaning someone probably bought over the agency from the old boss, maybe due to finanical problems, and the new head, changed the entire staff, which is why Crayon Pop was under going so much stress and that one of the members took a break from stress during Do Doom Chit promotions. I think EXID back then was also fearing that their fame from "Up and Down" will die off after 1 time, and was really happy when their next 2 songs won #1 as well, proving their continued fame, is not due to a one off hit song.

miitsss Winston Tuesday, April 18, 2017

I heard rumours that FinKL is unlikely to have a comeback cause none of the other members really care for Hyori. Also I agree for what you said about EXID - esp online people were scared they would turn out like Crayon Pop

krell miitsss Wednesday, April 19, 2017

'Show Biz' breeds some interesting egos. BILL SHATNER (Star Trek ; Movies & TV ; USA) *apparently* has permanently 'alienated' about EVERYONE that worked with him on the *original* STAR TREK TV series. I guess GEORGE TAKEI in particular is quite 'impressed' by SHATNER --> ... http://nypost. com/2014/07/21/40-years-later-william-shatner-and-george-takei-still-feuding/

Winston miitsss Wednesday, April 19, 2017

Hyori said its unlikely and when YJS ask them about it many years ago for the IC's Totoga, however i think its partly because some of FinKL's members are full time actresses, and probably have not sing or danced for many years since then, and i dun think they are willing to get back together and go through hours and days or weeks of practise, to get back to their "idol days' again, when they are making enough or more, doing what they are doing now. there has to be a desire to return, and i dun think they are hungry for that attention.

I still don't understand why the MV for FM didn't go seriously viral.
