Girl group Wassup will be making a comeback this April as a 4-member group, after former members Nada, Jinju, and Da In filed to nullify their contracts with Mafia Records

Mafia Records stated about Wassup's comeback, "We've decided to retain Wassup with its remaining 4 members, without adding in any new members. The comeback album will be a mini album."

Wassup debuted in 2013 as a 7-member group, and with the above 3 mentioned having gone their individual ways, the group will continue with Nari, Jiae, Woojoo, and Soojin. Their label added that the group will continue with their original, hop-hop style, and that their comeback will be a retro-hip-hop genre.

Their pre-release single, "Dominant Woman", proves that Wassup will remain true to their strong, hip-hop color, despite changes in the group.

Wassup's full comeback with their new mini album will be on April 13.

Thank god Nari is still in this group, she's my bias. I'm sad that Nada left, though... and the rest of the other members as well. ):

Hey not bad, this isn't typically my genre but that was a lot of fun to listen to.

Jinju was the leader and Nada and Da In were the two strongest personalities in the group. After them leaving there's only a shell left. As one can hear from the track, the combined voices of the four remaining ones is wholly inadequate. And this is coming from one that loves Wassup to death. I truly hope that they can get their act together and manage to produce some great material with the abilities they have, because their style is unique in K-pop and are thus filling a niche that most groups do not even consider. To make this day feel slightly better, here's a picture of Nari's radiant smile. It might be the best in the business:

very different, good different. not enough to make me a fan but its cool that some girl groups like WA$$UP and CLC are ready to fill this sort of club/rap sound void left by 4minute and 2ne1.

Well, I shall say this.  It looks like we are finally getting to hear brand new music from Wa$$up after being away from the K-Pop scene for a while and also after getting caught in a mess where Nada, Jinju and DaIn actually decided to leave the group on good terms and therefore, Wa$$up is now just a quartet with Nari, Jiae, Wooju and Sujin being the only original members in the group.  And as of right now, there are going to be no member additions so that does mean the group will stay being a quartet for now until they are ready to bring in new members later on.  So with that being said, we will see the brand new Wa$$up being regrouped as a quartet next month with a brand new mini album.  And yes, they are not ready to release a full studio album just yet.  But maybe later on though.
