During his appearance on MBC's 'I Live Alone', Henry started making a new song out of boredom but the track gained great attention following the show. The 'Musical Genius' ended up releasing an official single titled ''Girlfriend''.

Following the release, ''Girlfriend'' hit #1 on various music charts and is currently remaining at the top.
Henry shared a message of appreciation via Instagram on March 20. In Korean, Henry wrote, "First, I'm so so touched everyone. I believe this new song #Girlfriend was made together with everybody. I wasn't thinking about making an official track but it happened because everyone encouraged me and asked me to release it! I think I gained a little bit of confidence!! Everyone!... Good work on the #1! lol We did it together! How about a spring vibe for my next song?"
Also, in English, Henry wrote, "I just heard that my new single 'Girlfriend' is no.1 on almost every music chart!!! wow! thank you everyone, especially those who were with me from the very beginning when things weren't always smooth. I promise to do my best and keep giving you all the best music I can make."
