Red Velvet's Irene gets teary-eyed in a discussion about the hardships of being the leader

Red Velvet members appeared on Mnet's 'Sheep Show' on December 8!

On this day, MC Yang Se Hyung asked Irene, "Are there any hardships to being the oldest?" and she replied, "Nothing in particular."  However, Joy beside her stated, "We always talk about our hardships, but she doesn't."

Yang Se Hyung consoled Irene with a personal anecdote, saying that whenever he, as a leader, would talk about his hardships with juniors when they're going through their own difficulties, the group would fall apart; and therefore, he would hold it in or talk to another senior to get feedback.  He showed understanding, saying, "There's probably a lot of hardships [Irene] can't talk about [as the oldest]," and instantly, her eyes grew teary and she fought off the tears.
