The '2016 MelOn Music Awards' was held on November 19 at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul and EXO made history!

The awards show, which is holding its 8th year, has established itself as one of the big four music awards ceremonies in South Korea. On November 19, EXO won a total of 6 awards at the awards show including the big�award of 'Artist of the Year.'�
Back in 2013, EXO won the digital daesang�by winning the 'Song of the Year' with "Growl" and in 2015, EXO won the album daesang�by winning the 'Album of the Year' with 'EXODUS.' By taking home the award of 'Artist of the Year,' they have become the first group to complete the trifecta of winning the big 3�daesang�awards at 'MelOn Music Awards.'
