After rookie boy group KNK released their 2nd mini album 'Remain' this November 17, fans noticed that one song from the group's album titled "I Know" sounded similar to a song released by BTOB back in 2015, titled "I'll Be Here".

Confusion arose as to whether or not the composer of KNK's track plagiarized BTOB's track or not, but thankfully, composer Kim Tae Ju responded to fans' questions quickly and curtly.

Kim Tae Ju posted on his Instagram:

"I'm writing to explain about suspicions that the melody in the chorus of "I Know", from KNK's 2nd mini album which was released yesterday, sounds similar to the chorus of BTOB's "I'll Be Here" released back in 2015. I took a listen to the BTOB song in question today. I confirmed that the beginning of the chorus, about 2 lines of it, does sound very similar, and admit that it was my mistake for not being aware of this factor beforehand. I have personally contact the composer of BTOB's "I'll Be Here", member Hyunsik, to deliver my sincere apologies.

I would like to relay that it was not plagiarism, and I apologize to fans who love the music of both BTOB and KNK for the discomfort I may have caused because I did not carefully check, as the composer. I will work hard to approach composing songs with more caution and more effort in the future."

Fans thanked Kim Tae Ju for his quick and honest response with understanding. Here's your chance to listen to both songs below if you haven't heard them before, and support both songs and the groups who sing them!
