Yewon revealed what she was up to during her time of reflection following her controversy involving actress Lee Tae Im.

On the September 14th episode of JTBC's 'Talk Hero', she talked about how she spent her time when she took a hiatus. Yewon suffered a lot of criticism after footage of her speaking informally to Lee Tae Im during filming for MBC's 'Tutoring Across Generations' arose last year, and she took time away from the spotlight.
She said, "I have experience keeping my mouth closed. When I had to spend time at home, I purposely made work for myself. For dental work that could've been done in one day, I separated my appointments into multiple days."
Yewon also explained how she avoided hanging out with friends, saying, "When my friends asked me what I was doing, I could just use the dentist as an excuse to not go out."
