On the September 6 episode of 'Video Star,' Kang Ye Bin, Wonder Girls' Yubin, Yang Jung Won, and Song Hae Na were the guests, discussing who's got the hottest bod, a topic that always seems to be of interest in the media.

Kang Ye Bin shared her thoughts on who she thinks has the best body among the guests, saying, "First place Song Hae Na, and she's got the kind of body I want. Song Hae Na's got the body type that Korean women like. She looks good no matter what she wears."

The actress continued, "Second place is Yubin. Yubin has the kind of body they like in America." She then went on to say confidently, "In other people's eyes, I've got the best body."

Yubin is still 10 out of 10.

Nothing wrong with KANG YE BIN 'spreading the glory' around. And KYB is surely attractive too.

i guess confidence is good, but i don't like it when people get cocky here xD

nami_chan Tuesday, September 6, 2016

lol yubin has better body than them, she looks healthy and toned

hiroonakamura Tuesday, September 6, 2016

wow, it's kinda sad that she thinks the body that Song Hae Na has is the best considering how anorectic she looks these days. I hope that Korean women can love themselves for their normal looks instead of trying to look too skinny - thinking they are good looking when in fact they look like sticks.

Yubin has a toned banging ass body with curves and shes got  good size boobs... do koreans not like that? Or is it because shes just not light skinned that automatically puts her in the "American" taste and not korean.

SaVanityVan Melina45d Tuesday, September 6, 2016

Pretty sure Kan Ye Bin is just jealous. Some Korean girls are ultra salty and jealous when it comes to women with curves, tits, ass, etc, because so few have them, so they try and act like having a curvaceous body is a bad thing that's unfeminine (some even try to talk like any breast size over B-cup are too big and gross, a fit hourglass figure is 'fat', etc.)

LordLiar18 Melina45d Tuesday, September 6, 2016

Koreans prefer very skinny and tall girl and generally, you don't have many curves when you're that skinny.

Sharkry SaVanityVan Tuesday, September 6, 2016

Why would she be jealous ? I mean, Kang Ye Bin is well known for having curves, all people who state their opinion are not necessarily jealous

SaVanityVan Sharkry Tuesday, September 6, 2016

I'm not implying that anyone that prefers slim body types to curvaceous ones are jealous of curvier figures, but in this case, from her language, she's displaying a fairly common Korean female mentality that I know well. Anyone can get breast implants and wear butt pads, but an actual hourglass figure (ie. hips) is something you have to be born with, something you can't get even if you want it, and it's something that /some/ Korean women are quite sore about. Said women ridicule women of their own kind with those bodies as being fat, vulgar by nature, a whore by nature, etc. as a way of dismissing them and trying to make it seem like something negative, because they're jealous of it. It's her tone, not her preference, that makes me think her words are coming from a place of jealousy. Ye Bin herself is someone who's had extensive plastic surgery, including breast implants, to achieve a certain look. She's thin with decently thick thighs and large breasts - the only real discernible difference between her body and Yubin's is Yubin has hips - and yet their figures as so different that Yubin's body type is only preferable to non-Koreans (and specifically Americans, who are stereotyped as being vulgar and sex crazed in Korea - again, by some, not all)? No. This is a common thing in Korea. Hips are largely covetted, you can look at any pictorial of a female celeb in Korea and see by the way they're photoshopped to have rounder backsides, thicker hips and thighs, thinner waists, etc. as well as the twisting, jutting and sideways positions they always stand in to create the illusion of curves. Her statement was essentially "her body isn't what we want in Korea - and generally anything non-Korean is /bad/. Korean's in general definitely prefer smaller breasts, asses, thighs, etc. than say what America's "hip-hop culture" prefers in women (which is the extent of many Korean's understanding of American culture), but Yubin's body is barely curvaceous by 'American' standards. It's the same thing as /some/ Korean women saying that any breast size over A or B is way too big, disgusting, etc., and again they imply that women with larger breasts are by nature sluttier, etc, which is another common mentality/attitude amongst some women. Korean women are known for being quite catty and petty when it comes to competing against each other and jealousy (I mean anyone can be like that, but it's a fairly widespread thing in Korea because people don't bother trying to hide it, it's rather normalized because the culture is quite competitive and judgemental overall). Sorry for the essay, but it took this much to explain my point.

Is she just skinny? Idk what her body looks like but saying that Yubin has a body Americans like makes me think🤔 Yubin has an amazing body slim and curvy. So what I got from this statement is that Koreans like plain skinny?

de_libra Tuesday, September 6, 2016

How the hell would she know what Americans like. That crap gets on my nerves when there are 375 million people in America and many come from somewhere else with their own preferences. We are not as narrow minded as she is.

Kawaii8 de_libra Tuesday, September 6, 2016

totally agree. they think everyone is the same here when in actuality, we're a lot more diverse and our preferences vary unlike how specific the ideals are in Korea.

ijKays de_libra Tuesday, September 6, 2016

I'm American and I like Yubin's body.

k_kid de_libra Tuesday, September 6, 2016

True. But non-Koreans can be just as narrow minded when it comes to stuff about Korea.

hiroonakamura de_libra Tuesday, September 6, 2016

it's a generalization bro. nothing to get upset about. at the moment, having curves is all the rave in the us. that's why
