Producers of 'W' apologize for airing a phone number without proper editing

The producers of currently airing MBC drama 'W' have apologized for broadcasting an actual phone number.

On the recent episode, the full 11 digits of a phone number that Lee Jong Suk called to reach Han Hyo Joo was aired without any blurring.

The digits turned out to be an actual phone number, and hundreds of calls were made to the number following the episode. The owner of the number then portrayed frustration through his Kakao Talk status, stating, "I am not Lee Jong Suk from 'W'. I am receiving more than 300 calls. Please do not call me..."

As a result, the producers, after apologizing, announced that they would be adjusting the mistake in later airings of the episode. They also claimed that they have reached out to the owner of the number to personally apologize.

sometimes when i see numbers blurred i think 'why would you need to blur it? people aren't stupid enough to phone a number in a show' but then i read stuff like this and i remember that people are just That Stupid

Yeah, because it's perfectly normal for a viewer to call a number they've seen displayed in a fictional drama.

wow i thought it was weird that the phone number wasn't blurred and people might call it but i assumed it might be fake since its shown ..... but aside that did any one watch the latest episode (spoiler)i should have known that those sweet moment in the beginning were a sign of something bad happening it happened before as well now the wait begins :(
