Dongwoo's free-spirited nature was revealed on the September 27 airing of 'Kim Chang Ryul's Old School,' thanks to fan witness accounts and DJ Kim Chang Ryul himself.�

Kim Chang Ryul said, "Dongwoo is a very free spirit. He's everywhere. I saw him often at places like the bar and a lamb specialty restaurant." Listeners also sent in witness accounts of seeing the idol everywhere, leading Dongwoo to explain for himself why he is out and about so much. He said, "I like going around to different places and hanging out. My house is in Guri City but I went all the way to Gangnam to hang out (a three hour distance by public transit). It's kind of an effort."

Dongwoo continued, "I was buying pizza yesterday and a fan recognized me so I took a picture with the fan. I was thankful that I was recognized."�
