During the press conference for JTBC's 'Girl Spirit' on August 8, BESTie's U.JI again addressed the topic of her former girl group EXID. �She had debuted with the group with "Whoz That Girl," but left shortly after. �Following a brief respite, she debuted under BESTie with some of the other former members of EXID.
When asked, "'Supreme Leader-Dol' was mentioned for you on TV. �Also, you got first place, so how did you feel after the recording?" she replied, "I got first place for the first time in my life, so the members were happy for me."
She then addressed the interview when she talked about getting hate comments from fans claiming she betrayed EXID after the group did well. �She said, "Well for that interview, when we came out like this, many people said that we would think of EXID's success in a negative way. �However, if anything, we're very happy that they did well. We felt more refreshed inside and, even now, we sincerely support them. �I had no chance to say exactly that until now. �I think this is better than not saying anything at all."
