As a result, Starship Entertainment has decided that now was a good time to respond to the rumor. On April 5, a rep stated, "Cosmic Girls' Bona is not the daughter of Coach Yeom Kyung Yup. Bona's real name isn't even Yeom Ah Ran, it's Kim Ji Yeon."
The agency revealed that his daughter, Yeom Ah Ran, had indeed been a trainee at Starship Entertainment, but has since left and is no longer under them.
