When people found out that the dress was an affordable piece from Dongdaemun, unsurprisingly, all the dresses were sold out within hours. Then there was the accusation that Sohee was trying to discreetly promote the store that sold the pink dress.

The wearing of this particular dress has caused a controversy for some odd reason, so Sohee's side stepped forward with a statement on March 11, telling Sports Chosun, "[The dress] is a bonded product. It's not a promotional piece or a paid sponsorship but a sampling from the stylist in charge. Sohee isn't the type to demand brand names, and if something looks good on her and is pretty, she is able to pull off [the piece] that her stylist requests of her, and because it did look good on her, she decided to wear the dress," explaining that Sohee's wearing of the dress was not in an attempt to promote a specific store.
