Trouble is brewing! Apparently, the host of a Hong Kong event entitled '2016 Hong Kong Asian Pop Music Festival (HKAMF)' is getting a lot of heat for allegedly inappropriate behavior toward AOA's Seolhyun while the group was on stage, inciting the wrath of her fans.
A male host said, "The slogan of today's festival is 'A world that becomes one through music,' so we need to show us becoming one. I'm going to hug a member of AOA, so who should it be?" creating a sudden opportunity for him to hug somebody. In the end, he went to Seolhyun and hugged her.
AOA's Taiwanese fan group demanded an apology from the host afterwards. As this had become a controversy, the host in question said through a media outlet in Hong Kong, "I heard of this controversy brought up in South Korea. Through the translator, I had asked, 'Do you consent?' and Seolhyun had said it was okay as long as I didn't hug her too tightly. So I lightly embraced her. The event's theme was 'Hug music' so I simply hugged her."
