Though Joy was very obviously exhausted, she perked right up when Sungjae called. She said during her solo interview, "Weirdly enough, I got energy when I saw his face. I guess I really like him."�
When Joy expressed that she didn't feel confident during the video call because she had just woken up from a nap, Sungjae said, "You're really pretty right now. You're glowing."
On the same episode, f(x)'s Amber�and Super Junior's Kangin�visited the couple. Kangin joked that it seemed like Joy was very interested in kissing Sungjae, but he had some good advice for Sungjae and Joy as well. When Joy said she worried that she liked Sungjae more than he liked her, Kangin and Amber responded, "That's not important. It's not important who likes who more. If anything, the person who has more feelings is happier."
Kangin also mentioned, "When I watched the show, I felt like I could trust Sungjae as an onscreen husband. It's because I've seen how he treats women on music shows."
