A mother and son who were separated for 57 years without any news of each other's livelihood, finally managed to reunite.
Gyeonggi Provincial Police's official Facebook page uploaded a clip of the mother and son's touching reunion on September 29. The mother, who had left her home and seven-year-old son because she couldn't bare her husband's domestic abuse, was able to meet her son after nearly six decades, with help from the police.
As it turns out, the son has also been actively searching for his mother, making for an even more heartrending reunion.

Police revealed that the mother and son had reunited on September 26, the day right before the Chuseok holidays, with the help of the Ilsan Police force.
