The last we heard of OCN's upcoming drama project 'Neighborhood Hero,' we heard that Park Si Hoo was confirmed for his Korean comeback while Son Ho Joon might join. Now, it's been revealed that Girls' Generation's Yuri is likewise another candidate for the production!
SM Entertainment stated on August 31, "She did receive a casting offer for 'Neighborhood Hero,' but nothing has been confirmed." On this day, OCN had likewise stated, "We offered the role of writer Baek Jung Yeon to Yuri. We're in the final stage of talks over it."
If she does indeed accept the role, this would be her first drama since 2012 with SBS's 'Fashion King.' It's been four long years and although she's made cameos, she hadn't taken on a full-time role on the small screen for a while, so fans are undoubtedly excited to see her back.
'Neighborhood Hero' will be a spy drama, and filming is likely to begin in September for broadcasting early next year!
