The June 15 airing of tvN's 'MyeongDan Gonggae 2015' revealed the names of stars who brought good fortunes to their families. Girls' Generation's Taeyeon turned heads by placing fifth among the names on this particular list.

Girls' Generation members were speculated to have raked in a total of 22 billion KRW (~$20 million USD) from the past year's activities. Taking into consideration the earnings distribution with SM and omitting solo activities and endorsements, the members were estimated to have each taken around 900,000,000 KRW (~$807,057) home.
With her hard-earned salary, Taeyeon purchased a large residential complex located in Jeonju for her parents. The property's market value at the time was estimated to be between 800 million ~ 900 million KRW ($700,000 ~ $800,000 USD).
The singer was revealed to have always been generous as 'MyeongDan Gonggae 2015' also claimed that Taeyeon had been filial since Girls' Generation's early days. With her first paycheck as an idol, Taeyeon was said to have gifted her parents a credit card.
