On May 5, fans noticed that Tao had changed his profile title from 'EXO-TAO' to 'Z.TAO' on Instagram, further adding onto the speculations he'll be leaving the group.
Netizens have responded rather harshly to Tao's continued silence throughout the matter, especially because Tao was also the one to have spoken out when Kris filed a suit against SM Entertainment to ask for a contract nullification.

The lengthy Instagram post read, "They probably won't know what it feels like to be betrayed by another person and then to have everyone side with the person who has betrayed us," implying that Kris had betrayed EXO.
Neither of the two sides has updated us on the issue and, as far as we know, SM Entertainment is still discussing with Tao and his father to figure out the best way to go about the situation.
Meanwhile, it was recently reported that Tao's father had requested a cancellation of Tao's contract from SM Entertainment after only three years of promoting as EXO.
