On the January 27 broadcast of KBS 2FM 'Super Junior's Kiss The Radio', M.I.B's Kangnam revealed that perseverance does pay off when it comes to passing an audition.

The idol started to say, "When I auditioned to be a singer, I was over 90kg (~198 lbs). At the time, the PD told me to come back after losing weight. So after that, I worked hard and lost about 30kg (~66 lbs), and coincidentally met the same PD on the streets. The PD told me, 'You have guts,' and gave me a pass."
