Dog featured in 'Pinocchio' revealed to be an abandoned dog searching for a new home

During the episode, Yoon Kyun Sang, who plays the character Jae Myeong, takes the dog to a friend and asks him to take care of the dog in his stead. He explains, "I'll be going somewhere far away." The dog has also made an appearance in the drama before in the eighth episode.

It has been revealed that the dog is a female, mini Jindo breed named Barney. She is actually an abandoned dog that is being cared for by the abandoned dog shelter group 'Empathy for Life'. She is currently looking for an owner.

'Pinocchio' representatives explained, "After learning of Barney's sad story, we included her in the drama in order to find her a good owner." They added, "We would like it if the bright and brave Barney could find a good family."

They further explained, "Through the suggestion of many members of our production crew who are interested in sheltering abandoned dogs, we have come to have a working relationship with Barney." They concluded, "We hope this helps Barney at least a little to help a good owner."
