Chinese cosmetics company KanS used photos of Luhan from his EXO promotions without permission from SM Entertainment for their advertisements, leading the agency to take action against this copyright infringement.

The photo of Luhan covering his right eye with a heart in the poster is from EXO's Chinese CF and the photo of Luhan on the cushion is also from EXO promotions. Since SM Entertainment owns the copyright to the photos of Luhan taken under the agency, one would need prior permission to use their artist-affiliated CFs, posters, photos, and more.
SM Entertainment responded on the 11th, "We've confirmed that the copyright on the photos, which the cosmetics company used, belong to SM, and collected data on it... We are in talks with out lawyers regarding what action to take against the related party."
