B2M announced that the appropriate authorities had contacted Lee Hyori and the agency and that they'll be avoiding similar situations in the future. The agency stated on December 3, "The National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service (NAQS) gave us information about its system and requirements, so this sort of situation doesn't happen again. After reviewing similar cases, NAQS decided that rather than a penalty, guidance was more appropriate. As the act was a violation of rules, we received an order to cease selling. We apologize for causing worry."

As previously mentioned, Lee Hyori was reported to NAQS for labeling her homegrown beans as "organic" at a small village market gathering near her home on Jeju Island. If she had violated the rules for organic labeling knowingly, she could have been punished with a 3-year-plus jail sentence or a fine of at least 30 million KRW (~27,200 USD). However, if the regulation was violated unknowingly, the individual can be just let off with a warning.
