Yoon Sang Hyun may now be preparing to marry the girl of his dreams, but things weren't always so peachy in his love life. On SBS's 'Healing Camp' on November 24, the actor revealed that he used to date a girl who would hit him due to her severe mood swings.
In this broadcast, the MCs asked Kim Kwang Kyu, "Is there a woman you would like to avoid?" He half joked, "A woman who hits men," which made everybody laugh, saying he must have personally experienced this.
Yoon Sang Hyun nodded along, and said he could understand what Kim Kwang Kyu was talking about as he had experience with a woman like that. He stated, "I also got hit by my first girlfriend. My first girlfriend had severe mood swings, so without a word, she would hit me, get in a taxi, and leave. Then the next day, she'd say she was sorry for hitting me, and ask me to go watch a movie. I think I dated her for about seven years." He explained that after she called him to apologize and ask him out on a movie date, they would get into a small argument on the way there, and in the end, she'd hit him and leave again.
While he had thought she was strange, he had also been too enamored of her charms and he liked a strong woman. He said it got to a point where her hitting him also became like a charm of hers, causing a bewildered Joo Sang Wook to ask what in the world could be so charming about her.
Yoon Sang Hyun then explained, "She was 168 cm tall (~ 5'6") and really pretty. Everyone around her wanted [to date] her, yet she chose me. I was going to marry her, so I even met her parents, but then, she ended up choosing another man," adding that he had cried for three months, leaving the MCs unable to hold back their bewildered laughs that he had spent 7 years getting hit only to be dumped at the end.
However, the actor will now be putting his past behind him as he has revealed his intention to marry his girlfriend, singer Maybee, next year!
